CALL TO ORDER

                President Dennis Burtness called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Present were President Burtness, David Olsen, Beth Schmidt, Nick Howard, Nikki Tuffree, Terry Gerber, and Terry Morris.  Also present were Nick Bubolz from Town & Country Engineering, Russell Rucker, Librarian Sarah Strunz, Chief Jeremiah Burdick, DPW Director Nick Todd, and Clerk Sherri Waege.

AGENDA VERIFICATION

                Clerk Waege verified that on January 9, 2026, copies of the agenda were delivered to the President and Trustees; and posted at the Village Hall, Library, and the Post Office.  There were no additions made to the agenda.

NEW BUSINESS

                Sewer Lining Project.   Nick Bubolz from Town & Country Engineering was present to explain the bids for the sewer lining project.    Motion by Tuffree, seconded by Morris to approve the bid from National Power Rodding Corp for an overall price of $258,092.00.  Motion carried.

                Resolution R-2026-01 Wages.  Motion by Morris, seconded by Schmidt to adopt Resolution R-2026-01 setting 2026 employee wages.  Motion carried.

                Ordinance 168-9 Fire Prevention.  President Burtness explained that he would like to simplify the ordinance to state that we follow all state commercial codes so that the ordinance does not have to be amended if code numbers change.     Motion by Gerber, seconded by Morris to amend Ordinance 168-9 regarding following all Commercial Codes for Fire Prevention, SPS 314 Fire Prevention Code, and Wisconsin Electrical Code.  Motion carried. 

                Purchase of mobility scooter.  President Burtness explained that he has been approached by a local group that may donate towards the purchase of a mobility scooter to be stored at the Village Hall and made available to village residents.   Discussion held on liability and maintenance. Discussion held on if it would be better to have it available at a local church or the American Legion.  Discussion also held on requiring a waiver for use.   No action was taken.

                Draw names for ballot placement.  Chief Burdick drew names that will appear on the ballot in the following order:  1.  Terry Morris and 2.  David Olsen.  There are only two people running for three positions.

DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS

                Motion by Morris, seconded by Gerber to approve the Department Head Reports.  Motin carried.

VOUCHERS

                Motion by Morris, seconded by Tuffree to approve the vouchers with a check range of 39198-39262.  Motion carried.

ADJOURN

                Motion by Morris, seconded by Howard to adjourn at 7:30 p.m.  Motion carried.
