Orfordville
Orfordville is a village in Rock County, Wisconsin, with a population of 1,567. It is home to Parkview High School, part of the Parkview School District. The community’s name traces to a surveyor who suggested “Orford” after a town in New Hampshire. When a post office was established, the name caused confusion with Oxford, Wisconsin, so the postmaster general recommended changing it to Orfordville. The village was established in 1900.
