On September 11, 2026, our community comes together to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, a day that forever changed our world. We pause to reflect on the tragic loss of nearly 3,000 souls, whose memories remain etched in our hearts. On that fateful morning, the extremist group al-Qaeda launched a devastating attack on our nation, seizing four commercial airplanes. Two were crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, and another struck the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. Yet, amidst this tragedy, we saw incredible courage as passengers aboard United Flight 93 bravely diverted their plane, sacrificing themselves to save countless others.

This day serves as a poignant reminder of the resilience and strength that emerged from the ashes of tragedy. The stories of heroism and unity that unfolded in the aftermath continue to inspire us, as we honor not only those we lost but also the enduring spirit of togetherness that defines our community. Each year, we gather to remember, to heal, and to reaffirm our commitment to supporting one another, embracing the spirit of perseverance that arose from this dark chapter in history.
