Working together for our community

There are many ways you can help our community this holiday season. Participating in toy and food drives is a meaningful way to support families in need and bring joy to children during the holidays. If you have donations to contribute or want to volunteer your time, please let us know. Together, we can make a positive impact and ensure that everyone in Orfordville experiences a warm and happy holiday season.

Children’s Christmas Benefit Charities, Inc.

The 27th Annual Children’s Christmas Benefit will be held at the Orfordville American Legion on Saturday, December 6, 2025.  Many exciting holiday events will highlight this year’s benefit. At 6:00 p.m. the evening will kick off with a delicious pork chop community supper.  Santa Claus will be on hand for the children at 7:00 p.m. Raffles will be held throughout the evening.  Donations will be accepted for the meal.  The Stateline Playboys will provide entertainment from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.  Bring your entire family for an evening of holiday fellowship and fun!

The toys and gifts collected are distributed discreetly and confidentially among local county children so their Christmas will be a bit merrier.  The purpose of the benefit is to give to the kids what they would not otherwise have during the holiday season.  It is an organization that is 100% volunteer driven.

There is no charge for the evening’s entertainment or the meal.  Donations will be accepted at the event.  All cash contributions will be used specifically for purchasing hats, mittens, boots, clothing, toys, and supplies for children from birth to high school age.  The contributions also supply a Christmas meal to each of the families.  Community members are encouraged to join in the fun and holiday spirit so that many deserving children will have a merrier Christmas this year.  If you are interested in donating raffle items, would like to refer a family in need, or for questions regarding the event, please contact Brian Knudson at 608-289-2498.

Proud of our parkview FFA

Parkview FFA host the Section 5 State FFA Vice President Sam Mell. Mr. Mell had the opportunity to work with our FFA members to teach them about the wide variety of experiences in FFA, Agriculture Careers, and what skills can be learned through FFA. Thank you Sam for your service to Wisconsin FFA!

October 29th, 8 members of the Parkview FFA ventured to Indianapolis for the National FFA Convention. After the 5 hour drive, we attended the opening session. We got to hear from the National Advisor, Indianas Governor, and keynote speaker A'ric Jackson! Tonight, we are celebrating FFA with an Ernest and Ella Langley Concert! Stay tuned this week for updates on tours, career fair, and being recognized as 3-Star National Chapter!

For the first time in Parkview School District history, the Parkview FFA Chapter is a three time back to back to back 3 Star National Chapter as part of the National Chapter Program. We were chosen as one of the top chapters in the state back in June and got to compete at the National Level. 3 Stars is the highest ranking a chapter can get at the National Level! Chloe Cleasby and Emma Hetelle represented our chapter in stage in front of 65,000 people! Thank you to the Parkview FFA Alumni for all the support to help us achieve our goals!!

Way to go Parkview School District

This week PSD Administration joined the Community Foundation of Southern WI to award PSD staff with EiE grants. EiE grants are provided by the Carol Aulabaugh foundation. This year, 11 grants were awarded and totaled just over $12,600.

Our Parkview Teachers are a great asset to the Village of Orfordville community. Their dedication to fostering a positive learning environment contributes significantly to the academic success and personal growth of our students. Through their commitment, professionalism, and support, they help build a strong foundation for the future of our children and, by extension, our community. We appreciate their hard work and continuous efforts to inspire and educate.
