John Kinna Memorial Golf Outing

Help support Parkview Baseball and Youth Sports. Get your foursome together for a day of fun and camaraderie. Our 4th annual John Kinna Memorial Golf Outing will be on October 10th and once again, all proceeds will go toward the high school baseball diamond renovations. Phase One is scheduled for October (weather and schedule permitting).

The John Kinna Memorial Fund’s foundation is built on 3 pillars: Education, Youth Sports and Community. These are 3 areas that John spent his life involved in and supporting. He was born in Footville and graduated from Orfordville High School. After serving his country during the Korean War he graduated from UW-Whitewater then began his 30 year teaching and coaching career at Parkview. He was the head baseball coach for 25 years and assistant football coach for 14 years. His dedication to community was evident as he served the Village of Footville as its village President for 25 years.

It’s wonderful to celebrate young talent like Kamden Laursen, who’s taking on the iconic role of Ralphie Parker in “A Christmas Story” at the Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson. As a 6th grader from the Parkview School District, Kamden has already built an impressive resume over the years, showcasing his dedication and passion for the performing arts. This upcoming performance promises to be a memorable one, and it’s a testament to his hard work and talent.

Treats on the trail- Hosted by Orfordville Lions Club

Join Us for a Spooktacular Adventure! Oct 23rd 5:30-7pm

Put on your Halloween costume and join us at the Orfordville Lions Club Walking Path, conveniently located just behind Village Hall, for a fun-filled adventure suitable for all ages! Bring your candy bucket and take part in trick-or-treating along the festively decorated walking path. We also encourage you to bring glow sticks and flashlights to add to the excitement under the moonlight!

Burtness Car Show Oct 3rd was a great success

The Burtness Car Show last weekend was a lively event that drew car lovers from everywhere to see more than 400 cars. The show had everything from old classics and rare finds to new tech wonders, catering to all car fans. Visitors enjoyed the chance to admire the detailed craftsmanship and unique designs and chat with other enthusiasts and car experts. The event was full of fun activities like a kids' tractor pull, raffles, music, and great food, making it a fun day for families. A special raffle in memory of Ron Kobs was a highlight, with thanks to Brian Bowditch for his generous matching contribution. A total of $6,860 was donated to the Rock County Cancer Coalition in Ron Kobs' honor, adding a meaningful touch to the event.

Business After 5 at Bricks and Stones

Orfordville Economic Development Committee will be hosting their fall Business After 5 event at Bricks & Stones on October 22nd.
Please join us from 530pm - 730pm as we hear from two speakers. (Craig O'Leary with Bank of Brodhead, and Cassady Olsen with Burtness Chevrolet).
Tickets are $10.00 per person and include a drink ticket, pizza, and entry for a door prize (Bricks & Stones gift card).
Tables will be available for display of business / promotional materials!
