Weekly construction update 7/21/26

Please be advised that several road closures are currently in place throughout town as part of ongoing construction activities. Although Hwy 213 is closed to through traffic, local access to businesses and residential streets remains open. Residents, visitors, and business patrons may continue to access their destinations as needed. The closure is intended to limit unnecessary through traffic in the construction area. Flaggers will be present as needed to assist with traffic control when lane closures are in effect. Motorists are asked to use caution and watch for barricades near sidewalk, curb, and intersection repair areas. If your driveway is obstructed for construction, you will be notified in advance. Mail delivery will continue to be available as will driveway access. Construction of the roundabout at Q/213 has begun and is expected to require a full closure for a period of time. In addition, the railroad will be reconstructing the crossing at S Center St and Beloit St, which will require a road closure in that area during the work. A timeline for the railroad portion of the project has not yet been provided. Anticipating there will be culvert work done east of the village from Orfordville-Hanover Rd for a couple of miles during July 29th to Aug 7th. The road will be impassable in this section during this time. Additional updates will be shared as information becomes available.
