VILLAGE OF ORFORDVILLE

Annual Board Meeting

Tuesday, April 15, 2025  6:00 P.M.

CALL TO ORDER

                President Dennis Burtness called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.  Present were President Burtness, David Olsen, Beth Schmidt, Nick Howard, Nikki Tuffree, and Terry Gerber.   Also present were Chief Burdick and Clerk Sherri Waege.  

AGENDA VERIFICATION

                Clerk Waege verified that on April 14, 2025, copies of the agenda were delivered to the President and Trustees; and posted at the Village Hall, Library, and the Post Office.  There were no changes made to the agenda.

RESOLUTION R-2025-05 COMMITTEES AND APPOINTMENTS

                Nick Howard was sworn in as a new Trustee prior to the meeting.    Motion by Gerber, seconded by Schmidt to adopt Resolution R-2025-05 to set Committees and Appointments.  Motion carried.

VILLAGE PRESIDENT’S UPDATE FOR NEW BOARD MEMBERS

                President Burtness welcomed newly elected Village Trustee Nick Howard and provided Howard with a copy of the Resolution that outlines Board member conduct.

                President Burtness explained the following:

·         Highway 213 project is moving forward for 2026.  The second phase of the project will be in 2027.

·         President Burtness explained that the Village is still waiting on signage from the State of Wisconsin for UTV”S.  President Burtness followed up with his state contact to see if they can get the signs made as it has been two years.

·         President Burtness and his wife Tayna have spent a lot of time updating the website. 

·         President Burtness explained that he finalized the .gov domain for the Village.

·         The Rime Ridge Subdivision is moving forward.

                Motion by Tuffree, seconded by Gerber to adjourn at 6:27 p.m.  Motion carried.
