Regular Board Meeting

CALL TO ORDER

                President Dennis Burtness called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Present were President Burtness, David Olsen, Beth Schmidt, Nick Howard, Nikki Tuffree, Terry Gerber, and Terry Morris.  Also present were LouAnn Harmel, Roger Dean, Jerry Knudson, Chief Jeremiah Burdick, Librarian Sarah Strunz, and Clerk Sherri Waege.

AGENDA VERIFICATION

                Clerk Waege verified that on January 26, 2026, copies of the agenda were delivered to the President and Trustees; and posted at the Village Hall, Library, and the Post Office.   There were no additions made to the agenda.

MINUTE APPROVAL

                Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Morris to approve the January 26, 2026 minutes.  Motion carried.

CITIZENS WISHING TO BE HEARD

                None.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

                None.

NEW BUSINESS

                Conditional Use Permit for 506 N. Main Street.  LouAnn Harmel was present on behalf of Sam Siddiqul of USUS Enterprises Limited d.b.a Collinwood.   Harmel provided the signed agreement showing that Siddiqul is operating under the previous owner’s license until his is granted from the state.  Motion by Tuffree, seconded by Gerber to accept the Planning Commission’s recommendation to grant a Conditional Use Permit to Sam Siddqul of USUS Enterprises Limted d.b.a Collinwood for 506 N. Main Street.  Motion carried.

                Operator License.  Motion by Morris, seconded by Gerber to accept the Police Committee’s recommendation to grant an Operator License to Bryce Hyde to expire June 30, 2026.  Motion carried.

                Amending Stop Sign Ordinance 304-13.  President Burtness explained that there are some older street references in the ordinances that need updating in addition to the approval of the locations for the Rime Ridge Subdivision. Discussion held with Roger Dean and Jerry Knudson regarding the placement of the signs in Rime Ridge.   Motion by Tuffree, seconded by Gerber to amend Ordinance 304-13 to change the names in the ordinance from Business Parkway to Viking Drive, Commercial Way to Genesis Drive, Industrial Drive to Genesis Drive, Technology Way to Dodge Street, S. Main Street to Dickson Street, and to place stop signs in Rime Ridge on the Northwest corner of the intersection of Ridge Court and Rime Street and also on the Southwest Corner of the intersection of Ridge Court and E. Howe Street.  Motion carried.

DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS

                Motion by Tuffree, seconded by Gerber to approve the Department Head Reports.  Motion carried.

VOUCHERS

                Motion by Morris, seconded by Schmidt to approve the vouchers with a check range of 39501-39525.  Motion carried.

ADJOURN

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Morris to adjourn at 7:17 p.m.  Motion carried.
