Regular Board Meeting

CALL TO ORDER

                President Dennis Burtness called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.  Present were President Burtness, David Olsen, Beth Schmidt, Nick Howard, Nikki Tuffree, Terry Gerber, and Terry Morris.  Also present were Kristin Baldwin, Tayna Burtness, Librarian Sarah Strunz, Chief Jeremiah Burdick, DPW Director Nick Todd, and Clerk Sherri Waege.  

AGENDA VERIFICATION

                Clerk Waege verified that on August 8, 2025, copies of the agenda were delivered to the President and Trustees; and posted at the Village Hall, Library, and the Post Office.  There were no additions made to the agenda.

MINUTE APPROVAL

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Tuffree to approve the July 28, 2025 minutes. Motion carried.

CITIZENS WISHING TO BE HEARD

                None.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

                Prohibiting Parking on S. Center Street.  Kristin Baldwin of 115 S. Center Street was present.  Baldwin explained that she was fine with the proposed parking plan with the 9 spaces.  Baldwin thanked the Village Board for addressing the parking problem on S. Center Street.   Motion by Gerber, seconded by Howard to approve the map provided by DPW Director Nick Todd that limits parking on S. Center Street to nine stalls and to have the prohibited parking areas painted yellow.  Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS

                Operator License.  Motion by Gerber, seconded by Morris to approve an Operator License for Stella Goddess to expire June 30, 2026.  Motion carried.

DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS

                Motin by Morris, seconded by Howard to approve the Department Head Reports.  Motion carried.

VOUCHERS

                Motion by Tuffree, seconded by Gerber to approve the vouchers with a check range of 38668-38700.  Motion carried.

ADJOURN

                Motion by Howard, seconded by Gerber to adjourn at 7:15 p.m.  Motion carried.
